About the Role
The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture and databases, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security. The Data Architect will also be responsible for implementing data governance policies, designing data models, and managing Extract Transform Load (ETL) activities.
Requirements
Data Architecture Design:
Develop and maintain comprehensive data architectures, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements.
Design scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data integration frameworks.
Define data standards, guidelines, and best practices for data management and governance.
Data Modeling and Integration:
Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support various business functions and applications.
Design and implement data integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow between systems and applications.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate data solutions into existing and new applications.
Data Governance and Quality:
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
Define data quality standards and implement processes for data validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
Monitor and manage data quality, identifying and addressing data issues proactively.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, developers, and business analysts, to deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
Present data architecture concepts and designs to clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation:
Evaluate and recommend data management technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance data capabilities.
Lead the implementation of data solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data architecture and management.
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Monitor and optimize the performance of data architectures, ensuring they meet performance and scalability requirements.
Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams and other stakeholders.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, data models, and data integration processes.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members and clients on data architecture and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.
